The Full Story
Hello, I’m Ashleigh, a private tutor and educational consultant with over a decade of experience helping students across Europe and the UK achieve their academic goals.
I founded Tutor Connection in 2016 to support international families looking for high-quality, personalised education. Since then, I’ve taught hundreds of students from leading international and British schools across Europe and the USA, helping them gain top grades in IGCSE, IB, and A-Level, and secure places at some of the world’s most respected boarding schools and universities.
Alongside my private work, I’m also Head of English at Edviro Academy, where I teach and design large-scale online programmes for students aged 14–16. My lessons combine expert academic guidance with a friendly, encouraging atmosphere. I believe learning should be structured, but never stressful.
I’ve worked in education for more than ten years, between London and Milan, and I know how different every student can be. Some need help building confidence; others need to refine their technique to reach the top grades. My job is to understand what motivates each student, tailor every lesson to their goals, and help them feel proud of their progress.
Our Approach
Personalised Learning
Every student learns differently, so each lesson is tailored to their pace, personality and goals. Whether we’re breaking down a complex essay question or revising key techniques, the structure always adapts to the student, not the other way around.
Clarity and Structure
So many students know the content, but struggle to organise their thoughts. I teach them how to plan, analyse and write with clarity and logic. Together we build strong habits that make exam preparation feel focused, manageable and confident.
Confidence Through Calm, Consistent Support
Students do their best when they feel safe to ask questions. I create a calm, steady learning environment where they can think independently, try new approaches and grow in confidence. Parents often tell me their child leaves each lesson more motivated and proud of what they’ve achieved, which is always my goal.
International Insight, Local Understanding
After a decade living and tutoring in Milan, and working with students from Europe, Asia and the Middle East, I bring a global perspective to every lesson. I understand the challenges international students face when moving between school systems, applying abroad or studying in a second language. My support blends international experience with a deep understanding of international and UK exams, allowing students to thrive wherever they are in the world.
Student-First Philosophy
My work is centred around the student as a whole person, not just their grades. I help them understand their strengths, explore their interests and articulate who they are with confidence. From guiding teenagers through school transitions to preparing them for university interviews, my focus is always on empowering students to make informed, thoughtful decisions about their future.
A Bespoke Path for Every Learner
No two students have the same story, ambitions or learning style. I design personalised strategies that reflect exactly where they are and where they want to go. For some, this means structured revision plans and weekly coaching; for others, targeted essay support, entrance exam preparation or long-term academic mentoring. I work closely with families to create an approach that feels supportive, organised and uniquely effective.
